Immanuel Children and Youth

Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. (Mark 10:14)

Children, youth and their families are one of the key centres around which Immanuel operates. 

   

Sunday School

Sunday School for the 2026-27 school year will start on September 20th. The children come into church and stay for the children's message, and then go upstairs.  They return to church for communion. 

We will continue to have two groups.  We have a class for younger children, and another for those ready for more in-depth learning of the Bible and participating and exploring church services.  Children typically make the shift around grade 6, but all children are welcome to join the group, which is best for them.   We also have a nursery located next to the kitchen in the church hall.  A TV is set up so that you can watch the live-streamed service while tending to your babies and toddlers.

The schedule for Sunday School is normally every Sunday at 10:00 am from September to June, with a break over Christmas.

School Days Off VBS          

School Days Off VBS is a one-day VBS program for the days in September through June that the Regina Public Schools are not in session.

The dates for the 2026-27 school year are: 

	September 30, 2026 (Orange Shirt Day) October 9, 2026 October 26, 2026 November 20, 2026 January 18th, 2027 March 15th, 2027 May 20, 2027 June 14, 2027

        

Children's Garden (2022 and ongoing)   

In the spring of 2022, we built a raised bed along the south side of the church hall and invited preschool children to come on Tuesdays at 10 to plant, take care of it, and then harvest.  We have continued each spring/summer since then.  This program was made possible by a grant from the Anglican Foundation of Canada and their Say Yes!
