Welcome Back Sunday 2021

27 Oct 2021

On Sunday, September 12, 2021 Immanuel held it's first Welcome Back Sunday.  This was the first Sunday after Labour Day, and most people are back from their summer vacations.  It was also the launch day for the Immanuel Sunday School.

Almost 100 people attended the single service at 10:30 a.m., and many stayed afterwards for the 'Bring Your Own' lunch.  Due to persistent issues with COVID, we stayed safe by hosting the event in the parking lot.  Coffee and an ice cream dessert were served.  A few ladies also provided some individually wrapped sandwiches for those who didn't bring their own.

Here are a few pictures that were taken that day.

In the photo below, you can see how the 5 congregations have contributed to a new look for the sanctuary at 142 Massey Road The reredos shelf and altar came from the former St. Luke; cross and both sets of candles came from St. Matthew; prayer desks came from St. James and St. Matthew; chairs at the prayer desks came from St. James; cross in front of the lectern came from St. Matthew; and altar rails are from All Saints.
