Webinar - Fabulously Flourishing in the Local Church
Thursday, 13 May
03:00 PM
May 13: Fabulously Flourishing in the Local Church (Zoom)
with Canon Dr. Neil Mancor (Congregational Development Coordinator, Anglican Diocese of Montréal)
Before we start talking about money, we need to get the conditions right. In the same way that we prepare the ground for planting our gardens, we need to do the same in our churches. Research has consistently flagged two key characteristics of flourishing congregations: a lively spirituality and an outward focus on the community. In this seminar, we will explore these two characteristics and how they impact financial generosity in the local Church.

with Rev. Dr. Robin Haensel (Director of Church Development, Canadian Midwest District, Christian & Missionary Alliance Church)
Dr. Haensel will introduce his recent D.Min. project (Lutheran Theological Seminary, Saskatoon) helping him fulfill God’s calling to equip the church to serve those often ignored because of the logistical challenges of shrinking rural populations. Big Questions - What about God?
Monday, 31 May
07:00 PM
Instructor: Rev. Dell Bornowsky
Via Zoom (register by contacting archdeacon.catherine@sasktel.net)
Rev. Dell will address questions including:
Why do we need to worship God? Is God egoistic?
Why is there evil and suffering in the world?
How can a loving God allow people to suffer?
What does it mean to be created ‘in the image of God?’
Are we image-bearers or miserable offenders?
Is there a hell? How can a loving God send anyone there?
Is there really a devil? Where did he come from if he exists?
